Welcome to the web site of the VTLS Users' Group of North America.
There are now more than 800 VTLS clients in 42 countries. In North America alone, there are over 205 sites. As a users' group, we started more than 26 years ago, in 1983. Representatives from 11 VTLS libraries gathered at an American Library Association meeting in Los Angeles and agreed to organize into a users' group. From then until now, we have worked effectively with VTLS in many different areas.
VTLS users' groups meet regularly, maintain web sites and online discussion groups and interact with VTLS on both an informal and formal basis to help develop products for many kinds of libraries.
Membership provides great opportunities to network with colleagues in other institutions and to learn about VTLS products from the experts: those people who developed and created them at VTLS as well as users from member libraries.
All VTLS clients are invited to participate as members in the VTLS Users' Group and we look forward to your contributions in helping us help each other.
The Steering Committee is pleased to announce the next meeting of the VTLS Users' Group of North America!
Reserve April 28th to 30th, 2010 for the exciting VUG (NA) meeting being held at the Winterthur Museum a VTLS customer for over 10 years. It is in Delaware, a short 40-minute drive from Philadelphia, approximately 25-30 miles south on Route 95 in the heart of historic Brandywine Valley [Directions].
This year's program will bring sizzle into social networks. For those that like gazing at cloud formations, you will be able to do that too! "Cloud computing" and other innovative technological developments at VTLS are sure to dazzle.
Come learn, share ideas, network and socialize with us this April!
